FUTURE PROJECTS
Like most authors, I have a whole host of ideas screaming out to be written down and worked on to give clarity. My third story, provisionally entitled Beyond The Line, is already underway and will be firmly in the science-fiction genre. Think Dune, with a smidgen of Avatar, and a lot of Lawrence of Arabia, and that is the kind of story and atmosphere I'm aiming for. Human guy, stranded on an alien desert planet, trying to rally the indigenous medieval-era inhabitants (including the beautiful Eri'tha) to fight off heavily-armed bad-ass human mercenaries intent on stripping their world of precious mineral resources.
And after that I have a list of projects for which various notes and ideas exist, as follows:
Last Run - A multi-stranded sci-fi thriller, featuring the ageing space freighter Amazon Queen commanded by John Kemble, a Ukrainian media reporter fighting for her survival on virus-ravaged colony world, the investigation of the wreck of an alien spacecraft on a remote planet, and a plot that hinges around the question of whether aliens actually exist and have already infiltrated human society.
Empowerment - A vampire story set in New York, featuring an escort girl, Jenna, who becomes dangerously fascinated with a mysterious French woman who saves her from two muggers late one night in Manhatten.
Glitch (working title) - Sci-fi adventure/romance. Alan Turley, a NASA astronaut on an Earth orbit mission, finds himself dragged forward through time to an era when the planet has been largely abandoned by the human race. Alan is rescued from his wrecked spacecraft by the all-female crew of an alien warship, but then finds himself caught up in the deadly war raging between the human-led Federation and the matriarchal Thurian Empire.
