Lloyd here again. This is the section where you can find out more about the wimp guy's books. His debut effort is the one I appear in so you'd better read that or else I'm gonna have to have serious words. But right now I'm gonna hand over to Chris so he can tell you a bit about his writing, his completed books, and how they came about. He does his best, even if it ain't much, so bear with him.
Hello there, I'm Chris Pope, and despite what Lloyd might think this is MY website. Like a lot of would-be writers I've been scribbling notes and story ideas on bits of paper for more years than I care to remember. I don't recall exactly when I first decided to write a vampire story, but I do know that I wanted to write something 'different' from much of what seemed to be the standard depiction of either blood-sucking villains or else anguished immortal male heart-throbs looking for love and redemption. I also wanted to explore a divergent avenue on the eternal theme of Good versus Evil, chiefly that for centuries now we humans have been the victims of a diabolical con-trick. The result of all this rumination was ultimately my debut novel: 'A Different Kind of Girlfriend'. In this I created my version of a covert war raging beneath the skin of our contemporary society, ostensibly between the forces of Good, in the shape of a world-wide organisation called the Sect, and Evil in the form of the vampires. But of course, as should exist in the plot of all decent thrillers, there is more than one hidden agenda at work. And it is through the eyes of the three main characters, two of them mortal males, the third a most decidedly immortal female, that we learn the full truth of the situation. But in addition to the action and supernatural double-dealing, this is at heart also a love story.
